IT Amnesia

Yesterday, another of my micro SD card died. Its demise came as a surprise to me since I have hardly used it. The first micro SD card died on me three months ago which I did not take into consideration. But the second micro SD card demise got me sitting up. Firstly, I realized that micro SD card are actually quite fragile and need to be handled in a more delicate fashion.  

I thought that I was able to treat it the same I treat flash drivers but apparently I was wrong. Slotting them in and out of reader frequently is not good for the micro SD card. I manage to recovery about 50% of images but I lost all the movies recording. 

Lesson learnt is that to make a back up of the micro SD. Doing all the backups now.
