Mating

One issue with taking pictures of wildlife is that the animals may occasionally be performing certain x-rated actions. I was recently looking at some sparrows gambolling. A couple of clicks later and I caught this on camera. The best part of the story was that the male sparrow completely the chore in a few seconds.  


Later in the day, I saw a monkey (long-tailed macaque) minding its own business on a bridge.

It suddenly bent down to help another monkey up a bridge. From the picture below, you can see the first monkey gently pulling the tail of the second monkey up.


I thought it was an altruistic act until the first monkey mounted the second monkey.
There was barely any communication or even eye contact before the mating started. The mating act was over within a few seconds and both monkeys went their separate ways.
