Stranger - Solved
Spotted this strange bird yesterday. Not strange as in weird but strange as in unidentified. When I shot it, I had thought it was a lost white-collared kingfisher, (Lost as there was not a pool or stream of water anywhere nearby).
It is black eyed and has a black beaked. It has a blue crown and the top wing feathers are blue. Yet it has a white breast and its wings are dark blue streaked with white.
I actually have a picture of it (Mystery Bird 9). It is a male Pied Triller which threw me off because I was looking at females which have a different colouration. The second thing was that these birds are supposed to be found near tree tops but this tree was pretty short.
