Contrast

I took the picture of this Asian Glossy Starling yesterday. It is perfectly silhouetted as it had landed on my neighbour's roof.

I also took a picture of a Yellow-vented bulbul which landed on another neighbour's property. Noticed the difference? The bottom picture is more distinct as it was taken a shorter range (before the digital zoom kicked in).

Now it is tempting to assume that using the digital zoom is bad but one must remember that I am dealing with wildlife which does not always allow me to get up close. This means accepting the tradeoffs like digital zoom.
