Tough enough?

A few years I saw my first Honey Buzzard up close. It had the classic raptor appearance. But then I was dismayed to discover that this raptor was not a red-blooded killer. It primarily ate grubs of bees and wasps

Its face is well protected with a tight arrangement of feathers. Its beak is also used for digging up wasps from the soil.

Its talons are also covered in thick scales to prevent being stung. They do hunt for alternative prey as they are migratory birds and having a very limited diet is difficult to sustain.
