Who is afraid?

I need to point out that even though I am not superstitious, I still view black cats with some trepidation. 

The pupils are extremely narrow. Which suggests arousal. There was no prey in sight and it was staring right at the camera. Fear?

On a side note, cats do not have better vision than humans. They do have more cones which allow better night vision with the ability to track movements. But it can keep its 20/100 vision fixed focal length vision. And at extremely close range, it depends on its whiskers to track prey.
