A year ago, I spotted these
white parakeets. It was a rainstorm so the pictures were pretty washed out. Two weeks later, the trees what the birds were nesting in or perched on was
chopped down. Or sawed down in this age of the machine.
This is not an extinction event but it was a pretty sobering moment.
Then I spotted the same parakeets at a park.

This is one time I am keeping mums about babies or critters feathering nests.
It is not a fairy tale ending. The big bad wolf was seen a short distance away.

In this part of the world, a raptor is usually considered by the other Avain species as a part of the scenery. Crows are considered a bigger threat.
