There are 4 otters in the picture.
There is a very worrying story about the otters. They are hunting for fishes in a rather muddy pond. The pond is muddy because the water level has fallen significantly in the drought.
Normally, I would not bother about the fishes except that the fishes are in a pond in a Botanical Garden. Which means the fish stocks are managed by the government. Which in turns means that the government has to restock the ponds. An otter eats 15 to 25 % of its body weight.
Now, it was fun reading about how the otters raiding some rich blokes' pond. But now we all face the tradeoff of the otters driving other species to extinction. Or the government literally feeding the otters.
By the way, the otter that is eating the fish is not the otter that caught it.
