One thing about the animal kingdom is that you will often have outliers trying to spoil the image of the whole group. So the behaviour is pretty unbelievable.

Take parrots. They are supposed to be herbivores. They use their big brains to get more nutritious food. It turned out that there is a parrot called Kea. It is a New Zealander that actually attacks sheep.

Ok. Today, we know that most herbivores are actually opportunistic omnivores. But it turned out some predators are not turning up their nose when given fruits. And in this case, the predator in question is a reptile. More precisely a crocodile. But then crocodilians are not really lizards. They are more closely related to birds than to their lizard counterparts.

Yes. This guy is not as close ......

Ok. I guess some animals are trying a new diet plan. But what about the specialist? Carrion eaters can't change into their diet plan overnight, right? Apparently, the Palm-nut vulture did not get the memo and eats plant material. In fact, a large part of the bird's diet comes from plant material.

If you want to talk about specialists, there is the shark. Except that one kind of shark is opting for the vegan diet as well. One spider too, has gone to the bloodless in its diet.
