One thing that most people do not understand is how light birds are.
Look at the bird on a dead tree. The branch is not swaying or straining under its weight. It is likely to be between
0.5 kg to 1.35 kg.

Same bird. Same tree. But one can see how far out the branch is.
Edit:
Apparently, it is smaller than the Grey Heron. Which comes in between
1kg to 2 kg. Still pretty light as you can see this bird on the water. Standing on a floating pipe or rope.
