When I was young, I was told that Hummingbird was the only bird that could hover. It turned out that it was wrong and the Sunbird could also hover for a short period of time. But it does not have the rapid wingbeat of the Hummingbird which can be as high as 200 beats a sec to a slow 50 beats a second.
