Fact of the week: Using your head

Ants are pretty sacrificial. Some even use their heads. The ant colony lives in trees. And when I say in, I do mean in. They dig burrows into trees.
And then a literally big headed ant will use its head to plug the entrance. This headlong dive to defend the entrance is quite effective considering that the ant species did not evolve any other lethal defenses. To be fair, the ant's head used for door duties is also camouflaged to resemble the bark.
And pulling an ant doorman is seriously difficult when it puts its mind (and head) on the job.
