Snubbed

Yesterday I read about a group of overseas sport fans that were snubbed by their favourite football stars. A few team members waved at the crowd and one player signed and took a selfie with a fan. That was as much of an acknowledgement that the team gave to the fans.

I would chalk this up to entitled superstars except that this sports team was famed for commercializing everything. Wanted the team to endorse you? Sure, you could buy endorsement for specific countries. Not segmented enough? Shaver manufacturers found themselves segmented into dry and wet shaving.

So that is the problem of the fans. They found themselves segmented out by their own sports club. Sure they could purchase tickets and merchandises but not the acknowledgement of their own sports club.
