The end of the road

Today Singapore lost its last polar bear. The polar bear was the world first polar bear born in captivity. It is sad but not what depressed me.

It was when I was reading about the last polar bear that I discovered that Singapore's only wild cow had also bought the farm. It had died in 2016 but I had missed the news. And I had gone to the island looking for it. There are still wild boars.
