Better solution for raising children?
One thing that makes me mad when hearing people telling me how to raise children is that they say the lessons were gleaned from the animal kingdom.
Take the piglets below. The mother pig has to get two of her piglets up to follow the herd. The piglets lying down are not sleeping. They were gambolling around a few minutes ago.
The first piglet decides to come to its senses and move out.
The second piglet decides to play dead despite what the mother pig does.

The mother pig has no choice and leaves it. Next moment, the piglet's eyes open and it is fully alert (Its feet are underneath its body.).
I have seen parents pulling the same stunt and seen an unexpected outcome.
