Fact of the week: Helping hand

If you ask me how humans can help insects, we usually think about not killing them. An individual can hardly affect the insect population in any meaningful way.

And then we did a wing transplant on a butterfly. And I am thinking it is a prosthetic wing than an actual transplant. And that the lifespan of a butterfly is countable in weeks. Or months at most.
